Crossing France, Italy, and Switzerland, this trek offers total immersion in the Alps. From the Col de Balme to the Courmayeur valley and the foot of the Grandes Jorasses, each day reveals the wild beauty of glaciers, peaks, and serene mountain landscapes.
Meet at 9:30 a.m. in front of the Notre Dame de la Gorge chapel, past the village of Les Contamines Montjoie. From the start, we enter the Contamines Montjoie Nature Reserve, following the ancient Roman road. A gradual ascent will take you to the Col du Bonhomme, where a stunning view of the Beaufortain awaits. A perfect start to immerse yourself in the majestic atmosphere of the Tour du Mont Blanc.
We cross either the Col des Fours or Les Chapieux to enter Italy. You'll discover extraordinary landscapes blending lush alpine meadows with glittering glaciers. Italy welcomes you with its Alpine splendor on the Italian side of Mont Blanc.
A day of Italian charm awaits as we descend peacefully into the Courmayeur valley, with views of the imposing Mont Blanc massif. The afternoon ascent leads us to the foot of the famous Grandes Jorasses, where we will bivouac under the starlight.
Today, we cross the border into Switzerland via the Grand Col Ferret. Mont Dolent, a silent guardian of our journey, watches over us as we make the crossing. We reach the Swiss alpine pasture of La Peule, where the tranquility of the Swiss mountains embraces you.
A beautiful day in the heart of the Swiss Alps, passing through picturesque Valais villages. You will admire the serene beauty of Lake Champex, a true gem nestled in a mountain setting. A peaceful stop to fully appreciate this unique natural scenery.
We begin our ascent to the Bovine alpine pasture, which offers a spectacular panorama over the Rhône Valley and the Valais mountains. With the Oberland in the background, the landscapes will leave you speechless. An emotionally intense day!
Our final day takes us to the Col de Balme, the point where we return to France. The views are grandiose and perfect for stunning photos: the Mont Blanc range, La Verte, Les Drus, and the Aiguilles de Chamonix dominate the horizon. The trek ends in the village of Le Tour, where we arrive around 2:00 p.m. Return to the starting point or nearest train station by a shared taxi arranged by your guide during the week.
